“I have had the pleasure on traveling with John Cox on all of our trips to Ireland.  I have found him to deliver exactly what he promises.  The arrangements have always been first rate and he has taken care of every detail.  I would highly encourage everyone to utilize his services.”

“Our travel experience with AGT was outstanding. The itinerary suited our group needs and the performance opportunities provided us with lifelong memories. John Cox and his team were most accommodating and extremely hospitable. Two thumbs up!”

Director – Marching Band (ret.)

“Our 2009 tour to Ireland was expertly planned, executed and capped by a performance at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in downtown Dublin. Specially requested excursions (horseback riding in Galway) made a great trip even more memorable! Our 2012 tour of Italy was equally remarkable: a wonderfully planned and executed concert by AGT in Rome followed by touring of iconic Italian landmarks and sights in Florence, San Gimignano, Padua and Venice. I highly recommend Atlantic Group Tours for your next European adventure!”

Anthony LaBounty, Associate Director of Bands, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

“During my tenure as director of the Alexis I. du Pont High School Tiger Marching Band, I had the opportunity to work with many travel consultants. My kids have performed five times in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, in addition to numerous other bowl games and extensive travel abroad.

John Cox of Atlantic Group Tours proved to be one of the very best consultants I have ever worked with. His attention to detail, his extensive knowledge of, and contacts in Ireland, and his gracious good humor made him a joy to work with.

If you value the rich opportunities for your students in performance abroad, look no further than John Cox! He is a thorough professional”.

I am grateful to John Cox for the efforts extended on behalf of the Texas A&M University Wind Symphony during four separate concert tours to Europe utilizing Atlantic Group Tours.   These trips were wonderful experiences for our students, providing both rewarding musical experiences, and unique exposure to the rich culture of numerous countries.

Dr. Timothy Rhea, Director of Bands & Music Activities, Texas A&M University

To my colleagues in music education:

I am pleased to recommend to you the travel services of Atlantic Group Travel and the expertise of their president, Mr. John Cox. I have traveled with Mr. Cox to Ireland on several different occasions. Each trip was professionally handled and efficiently run. Mr. Cox’s knowledge of his homeland and connections with his travel partners made our trips very worthwhile, exciting, and educational for our students.

I have completed over 35 years in music education and have been involved with most major parades throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Cox has the experience and knowledge to prepare and execute a wonderful travel experience for any group.

Thanks to John’s planning, I have a new appreciation and love for Ireland. Should you have any questions, I will be more than happy to respond to you. My email address is pbmorrow@gmail.com.

With best regards,

Pat Morrow, Formerly Director of Bands at Homewood and Hoover High Schools, Alabama

We had the pleasure of traveling with Atlantic Group Tours for our performance tour of Ireland in 2009.  AGT’s planning and coordination of our travel, concerts, and parades made our St. Patrick’s Week Festival experience truly memorable.  We look forward to working with AGT again for our European travel.

Our Atlantic Group Tours trip to Ireland was simply fantastic.  John and his team are literally the “insiders”.  When I take groups to Europe in the future, John and AGT are my first call.

Dan Belongia, Illinois State University Bands

“The three most important words that one thinks of with regard to international travel with a large group of musicians/performers is: organization, commitment and dependability.  Our trip to Ireland in 2010 consisted of over 500 travelers from the Universities of Delaware and Massachusetts. This required the use of 5 different airlines, 4 different airports, 11 coach buses and 1 equipment truck.  Every single aspect was taken care of personally by John Cox, and the trip was FLAWLESS! I know of no other company that takes such personal pride in customer satisfaction! There is no question that the next trip I plan will be with Atlantic Group Tours.”

Professor Heidi Sarver, Director-Marching Band, University of Delaware

John Cox of Atlantic Group Tours has planned two trips for the Huntsville High Band to England and Ireland in 2000 and 2008. John and his staff are very thorough in their planning, and will listen to and accommodate your needs in a very professional manner. On our trips, we played formal concerts, some alone and some with other bands, as well as marched in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The educational opportunities on these trips were exceptional, and the students to this day have very fond memories of their times in the UK and Ireland.

Dr. W. David Spencer, Director of Bands, Huntsville High School, Huntsville, Alabama

I have taken trips with various performing ensembles that I have conducted for over twenty years and I can say without hesitation that none have gone smoother than those put together by John Cox and Atlantic Group Tours. His attention to detail and consideration for the needs and welfare of my students have translated into not only wonderful musical opportunities, but have also created life-changing experiences that will last forever. I can’t imagine trusting an international tour with anyone other than John and his team at AGT.
